This page was inspired by http://www.artplayatmilliande.com--a/ very talented lady & her young daughter.
I first did a photo transfer with gel medium. This was my first time doing this, and it turned out ok, a bit dark.
Background: Used watersoluble wax crayons, prussion blue, dark ultramarine, sky blue, vertclair & yellow. Brushed over with watered gesso.
Scribbled circles in dark ultramarine, & painted over with acrylic paint, cerulean blue, sap green, lemon yellow,& ultramarine blue.
Eyes & face painted lightly with black & white acrylics.
Lips-distress ink worn lipstick.
Checkquered lines drawn with black sharpie pen, and painted with black & white acrylic paint.
Face painted lightly with pale pink acrylic, and I painted over the white diamonds with red acrylic paint.
Top border : I splattered distress ink - worn lipstick with a straw.
Words were cut from a magazine.
I am not happy with the eyes on the right page but did not know how to improve them, my painting skills are limited.
Thanks for looking, a comment would be welcome.

I've not met gel medium before, something I think I will have to research cos the photo transfer using it sounds rather a fun technique - and I think your page looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks for trying out my prompt this week! The words work really well with the images you combined with them. I've never got around to DIY image transfers, I'll have remember to give it a go sometime.
ReplyDeleteJulie :-)
